This release focuses on making Burro even more reliable, efficient, and easy to use — with improvements across mapping, navigation, obstacle handling, and system performance.

⭐️ Improvements

Sharper Localization & Safer Movement

Burro now uses Row Centerline Maps stored directly on the robot and in your GIS Database, so it keeps its bearings even when connectivity dips.
We also tuned localization confidence and reduced CPU use during lidar mapping — meaning smoother navigation and better performance in complex terrain.

Smarter Fault Protection

We’ve refined internal distance checks and added safe defaults to prevent false “fault detected” events, keeping operations steady even in early mission phases.

Improved Docking experience

Startup and charging routines with the dock are more consistent, with better handling for voltage levels and battery states — reducing early undocking and ensuring full charge before any task begins.

Stable Controllers and Path Following

Controllers have been refactored and tuned to run more smoothly, with faster path following, more accurate path planning, and lower CPU load during motion.

Cleaner UI and Better Feedback

Menus and settings now behave more predictably, and popups like FSAcT appear reliably at the right time. The TTC (Time-To-Collision) settings are also easier to find — now located in their proper menu for quick adjustments.

🛠️ Fixes You’ll Notice

  • Memory and performance improvements — reduced overhead, resolved some bugs and improving runtime stability.

  • Refined localization on uneven terrain — GPS handling now adapts better to sloppy or hilly areas when new odometry is enabled.

🔧 Small Things That Add Up

A lot of engineering refinements went into this release to keep Burro’s foundation solid. All of this makes Burro run faster, smoother, and more predictably even in complex environments.
