Obstacle handling
The following settings allow for customization of Burro’s obstacle detection capabilities, enabling better navigation in specific environments. Use these settings with caution, especially the advanced options.
Min. Obstacle Height
(Set to 0.0m by Default)
Previously referred to as ‘Grass Height.’ This setting allows you to bypass small objects on the ground that Burro may detect as impassable obstacles (e.g., reflections from water puddles, piles of leaves, etc.).
Adjusting this setting will instruct Burro to ignore all obstacles from the ground up to the height value set on this slider. Only use this feature when you are certain that it is safe to traverse the area with known obstacles.
Robot/Trailer Width
If Burro will be towing or pulling a trailer, use this slider to account for the trailer’s width. This adjustment will modify Burro’s slow down and stop regions governed by its obstacle detection algorithm.
- Slow Down Region: Displayed in yellow.
- Stop Region: Displayed in red.
Advanced Obstacle Settings
For users requiring more customization and additional tuning beyond the default settings, enable the appropriate options in the Advanced tab.
Please exercise caution when using these advanced obstacle settings. You are required to agree to the disclaimer before enabling these options.
