Cleaning
BURRO Grande is designed with weather-resistant components to ensure durability and ease of maintenance. To keep your BURRO operating optimally, please follow the cleaning guidelines outlined below.
General Cleaning Guidelines
- Cleaning Tools: Most components can be cleaned using compressed air or a water hose.
- Avoid High Pressure:
- Do not use high-pressure devices, such as pressure washers.
- Avoid directing compressed air within 6 inches of the electronics enclosure (Brain Box) or cameras.
- Caution: Exercise care when cleaning around the external fan enclosure.
Top Tray Cleaning
- The top tray can be removed from BURRO for separate cleaning. It is safe to pressure wash the top tray independently.
Wheel and Motor Area
- To remove accumulated dirt and mud from BURRO’s wheels and the area between the wheel and the motor, use a hose with light water pressure.
Enclosure Check
- Before washing with a hose, ensure that all enclosures, such as the USB side port and charging port, are securely fastened and sealed.
Camera Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: It is important to clean both the front and rear cameras periodically to prevent dirt, dust, and smudges from affecting performance.
- Cleaning Method:
- Use compressed air to clean the camera lenses, maintaining a distance of at least 6 inches to protect seals and gaskets.
- Alternatively, lens wipes can be used for cleaning.
Touch Screen Care
- The touch screen should be wiped down with a damp cloth or lens wipes when sticky debris accumulates, obstructing visibility of the user interface.
- Regular cleaning is essential to prevent false touches, which may lead to unexpected behavior.
By adhering to these cleaning instructions, you can help ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BURRO Grande.
